The Psychosocial Risk Factors Intervention Program (PRFI) is a ten week Pain Management Program designed to assist injured workers who are experiencing chronic pain and are at risk for long term disability. This program is designed to focus on minimizing disability through therapist guided activity participation.
This 10 week activity mobilization program is recommended for clients experiencing chronic pain, or for injured workers whose pain has been a significant barrier to independence in activities of daily living as well as the return-to-work process.
This program consists of 10 one-on-one sessions focusing on education of hurt versus harm, increasing independence in self-care and other activities of daily living, encouraging implementation of a daily walking regime and ultimately preparing for a return to work when feasible. Standardized assessments are completed at start, mid-point and termination of the PRFI Program and are communicated to referral sources via written reports completed at the onset, mid-term and termination of the program.
We are also pleased to offer the Progressive Goal Attainment Program (PGAP) with our certified therapists on staff.
